Marion Wagenvoort has established as an artist in 1986 after training at the Art Academy in Utrecht. In 1988 she joined Kunstliefde the society.

ART

The art of Marion Wagenvoort is to combine

materials such as paper, metal, glass, cement or concrete, wire, wood, dust, lead or cotton waste.

Paper is a main component and provides in interaction with other graphic materials transparent, mysterious images to which the mortality is almost tangible.

The merging of many different materials is almost self-evident. Images arise from the material.

The ancient, weathered, the affected, is typical of her work. Although the work looks so fragile it is stronger than suggest.

Attrackted to the work the unsuspecting viewer gets a strong tendency to feel and to study with a magnifying glass. The manner of presentation finally shows that art doesn’t stop at the object itself. Marions presentation completes the work of art that is very worthwhile to be viewed.
